We Distribute No Cost Bikes
The mission of Recycle Bicycle Harrisburg is to distribute no cost bikes. We have a teaching Bike Shop, where anyone can come in and Earn-a-Bike. We supply the bicycle, the tools and the volunteer know-how to help an individual ride off with a safe bicycle, for free. Our volunteers will also repair bikes for individuals at no cost, teach maintenance, teach safe riding and provide proper locks and lights at a minimal cost.
PLEASE NOTE:
* Before they are distributed, all bikes must be safety inspected and may require repairs. We work on a first come first serve basis.
* Please be patient – if the shop is busy, you may have a long wait. We are 100% volunteer, so it also depends on the number of volunteers available to help at that time.
* For safety sake – anyone who is receiving a bike must have closed toe shoes to wear when test riding the bike. No flip flops, sandals or open toe shoes are permitted.
